Due to Brother UK’s incredibly poor handling of their TZ tapes to TZe tapes (eco-friendly) migration, there is a severe shortage of the new TZe tapes available within the UK.  This issue is effecting all distributors and resellers (dealers) of Brother UK products.

If you already have an order placed with ourselves, then your order will be dealt with on a first-come-first-served basis.  If you are considering cancelling your order, please ensure that stock is genuinely available at any alternative supplier before cancelling your order with ourselves.

We have been continuously communicating our customers, and our own annoyance to Brother UK of their poor handling and ill thought out methods.  We will continue to do so until this issue has been fully resolved.

We have requested an official statement from Brother UK over this issue but to date, we are still waiting a response of our request.

Sage Pay deals another blow for Internet Retailers

If it has not been bad enough for Sage Pay customers this month another double whammy must surly push them over  the edge.

An email was sent out to merchant late yesterday afternoon at around 17:20 (Thursday 18th November 2010) explaining to customers that Sage Pay have “experienced an issue affecting settlement transactions yesterday between approximately 09:20am and 23:59 (Wednesday 17th November 2010).” and that “Transactions will now be sent for settlement tonight”. If this was not bad enough the next day (Friday 19th November 2010) they report “Please be advised that we are aware of a delay in our Settlement file submissions this morning across some Banks”.

When will the nightmare end for customers as their business suffer again and again at the hands of the Sage Pay payment gateway! This will simply be the final straw for many merchants as they look to move their secure payment providers to a more sable and reliable provider.

This morning at 11am we called the customer support line for Sage Pay only to be informed that there were more then 20 calls ahead of ourselves.  We then called the sales line, one ring and our call was answered.  What sort of message does this send out to Sage Pay Merchants!

Brother MFC-J415W Multifuctional Inkjet Colour Printer with Fax and WiFi

It’s been awhile now since Brother UK have introduced any new multifunctional inkjet printers but that is about to change. The first in the series to become available is the Brother MFC-J415W. This colour multifunctional printer is also certified b & g WiFi along with a 14.4 kbps fax.

The MFC-J415W has an input paper capacity of 100 sheets with a 15 sheet ADF for scanning or faxing large documents. The 4.8cm colour LCD screen enables ease of use with step by step prompts for navigating the various options and settings. Ink levels can also be monitored via the display by simply pressing the ink management key.

With black and white printing of up to 35 pages per minute ,and colour printing of up to 28 pages per minute, the MFC-J415W is a compact but speedy printer. If it’s photo printing you require then a 4×6 photograph at 150x600dpi can be produced in 30 seconds. Media weight ranges can be used from 64 g/m² to 220 g/m² and even 260 g/m² with Brother BP71 paper.

This model utilises the ITU.T-30E colour fax protocol which enables the sending and receiving of colour faxes to and from any other machine using the same protocol.

As a photocopier up to 23 black and white pages per minute can be achieved and up to 20 copies a minute if colour reproduction is required. Reduction and enlargement capability enables document sizes to be manipulated from between 25% and 400% in increments of 1%. Up to 99 copies can be duplicated by the MFC-J415W at one press of a button.
